Frank Frazetta’s take on Eowyn and the Nazgul gives Tolkien’s story some dark gravitas and unabashed hotness. Check out the evolution of his illustrations from the sketch at the bottom, to the finished scene at the top.
This is (of course) awesome, but I can’t really approve. Eowyn revealing that she is a woman is a huge, integral part of this scene, one of the biggest ”Oh, shit” moments in the novel. No one could mistake this Eowyn for a man.
